Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Gaara processes, why, and the choices you have. It covers the service at usegaara.com.

Data we collect

Account data: your email address and the codes used to sign you in. Profile data: the CV you upload, the text we extract from it, and the structured profile we derive for matching, plus your work location preferences. Usage data: basic product events such as when a job notification is sent or a match is viewed. Billing data: handled by Stripe, including your customer and subscription identifiers. We do not store your card details.

How we use it

To verify your email, to match roles to your background, to send job alerts and Premium tailored CVs, to manage your subscription and billing, to keep the service secure and reliable, and to understand whether the product works.

Third parties

We share only what is necessary with processors that help us run Gaara: Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, an LLM provider (OpenRouter) to extract your structured profile and to assess matches and tailor CVs, and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data. When we send data to the language model we send only what is needed for the task, and we treat job and CV text as data, never as instructions.

Storage and security

Original CV files and generated PDFs are stored privately and are never publicly accessible. Access requires your authenticated session. Passwords are not used or stored. Verification codes are stored only as secure hashes. We apply access controls, rate limiting and encrypted transport.

Retention

We keep your account and CV data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, and billing records only as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.

Your rights

You can access and update your CV and preferences from your dashboard, and cancel your subscription from the billing page. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights to access, correct or delete your data. To make a request, contact help@usegaara.com.

Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
